PAUL MACELI

Siena College: graduated 1992, Bachelor of Science in Marketing & Management (concentration of courses in Accounting).

1992-1994: Dun & Bradstreet: Credit Reporter & analyst: interviewed regional businesses, obtaining financial data and using D&B systems to generate the credit ratings in the Dun and Bradstreet reports used by creditors and institutions all over the USA to make well informed purchasing and business decisions.

From 1995 to 1997, employed at a family business where he learned the ins and outs of intimate business management, purchasing and troubleshooting in time sensitive matters and customer service.

From 1997 to 2013, worked for Ceridian Benefit Services, contracted solely to General Electric, learning their entire retirement system while working on site at the GE Plant in Schenectady, NY (for 17 years). He was involved in processing retirements for terminated employees and direct retirees, eventually being promoted to work on new retirement platforms, whose calculations were done manually to serve for GE’s future automated processes as the new plans settled in. Retirement processing also involved understanding of different tiers of pension calculations, as well as health benefit processing. Last position in the company was in Death Processing, which relied heavily on understanding GE pension, life insurance, savings & securities plans/benefits, as well as having to work with legal bodies (inside and outside of GE) to deal with different scenarios involving active GE employee deaths (estates, trusts, tricky situations).

2013 on board with Penflex Inc. as benefits specialist, assisting with trust accounting, moving on to processing LOSAP benefits for the defined benefit plans (working with actuaries for calcs for optional forms of payment), as well as taking calls to assist participants with banking, tax, and other requests, plus working closely with sponsors to fulfill special requirements.
